Oh Mark - have only just heard your very sad news. And yet you must feel blessed to have been given Dougal and nothing can take away your wonderful memories. It is in all our thoughts when we take on a doodle in our lives that we will only have them for a short lifetime and we all dread the time when they are taken away from us. I've given Jessie an exta special hug and my thoughts are with you and your family during these dark days. Lesley xxx

Dougal was such a wonderful dog, as you say, incredibly gentle, even with Fiann doing the mad puppy jumping routine, he was so incredibly patient and wise. I feel absolutely privileged to have known Dougal, and had I not met him, would not have gone looking for a Dood and found my wonderful Fiann.
Both Fiann and I are sending you all big (astral) doggy hugs, and I know Dougal is watching you all with his wise and gentle eyes.
Quote from vet "I've often thought that the labrador appetite and poodle intelligence combined make for the perfect super-charged bin-raiding dog!" :-D How right he was!
