We lost one of beloved Sanctuary horses yesterday 7/01/10.

Our very loved Kildaire died in his sleep, a total shock as he had not been unwell and had eaten his tea as normal. He was a very gentle giant, 16.3 Cleveland, so kind in spirit, a real gentleman
He was very old (32 yrs) non the less he will missed beyond words.
Here at Rainbow we have a high number of veteran horses and losing them is something we face on a regular basis but it never ever gets any easier :(
This boy was a "special boy" who has been with us for the past five years and won the affection of all that had the privilege to know him.
Run free Kildaire , wait for me at the bridge.
Linny , Alan and all the Rainbow volunteers.x

I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss, Linny. A terrible shock for you and for all Kildaire's carers but a very kind and gentle death......

He was a fortunate gentleman to spend his last five years in a loving environment.

RIP Kildaire.

Katherine

Linny, so sad to read about your much missed dear friend.
Such a peaceful way for him to leave you, but it must be an awful shock for you all.
Hope your special memories of him help you through.

Sue x

A gentle ending for Kildaire Linny, after a long life, but never easy for those left to care about them.

Sorry to hear about Kildaire, but he had a lovely five years twilight ending to his life with you and you always have those memories. Thinking of your loss.

That's so sad :(

Linny, you must have a huge heart to do what you do for your animals - you're a real star!
