West Woodburn Northumberland

Just back from a few days in Northumberland where were stopped at this place in West Woodburn which is a little village just north of Hexham :-

Wife picked up a cheap stay on Groupon and it was really good. Happy to have the dog with us and the only place he wasnt allowed was the dining room bit which was fair enough and we just ate in the main bar area including at breakfast when they set a table up for us each morning. Plenty of decent walking land around there, we managed a 7.5 mile walk on Sunday morning, and we also popped over to the coast at Seahouses\Bamburgh which took about an hour but a nice drive and Roker had a great time on the vast beach behind the castle at Bamburgh.

Pub part is very nice and we had a great time watching Japan beat Sth Africa in the Rugby with the locals whilst Roker slept under a table on Saturday afternoon and the food is good proper pub grub.
