Doodle Meets in North Yorks/North East

Post by josieanne » 09 Aug 2009, 09:39

Lucas and I read a lot on here about all the different meets you go to, Lucas would love to come and join in but you all live such a long way from us. Does anyone know if there are any meets near us, we live in a small town on the coast between Whitby (North Yorks) and Middlesbrough (North East). Lucas could travel but we don't want to go too far. Lucas would really love to meet some other doodles! He does get to see my cousins doodle Bobby but he would love to have fun with others too!

There is one today at Druridge Bay in Northumberland at 11am. I think the North East Doodlers still have one once a month at various locations and advertise them on here and on www.doodle-times.com

Hi Jo

It may be a bit premature, but I believe there may be a couple of meets coming up in September or thereabouts. Possibly one in North Yorkshire, and the other over Filey (I think) way.

Alternatively, set up one yourself. Just decide on a suitable day and place and post details both here and on Doodle Times. My experience was that people turned up for the doodle meet who just read the forums and didn't normally post. At worst, you get a good walk with your Dood.

Hi Jo, It depends on how far you can travel. We live in Derbyshire, I tried to arrange a meet without success here :? but went onto Doodletimes and had our first meet on Friday, there were 12 Doodles   It did take 1 hour and 20mins to get there but was well worth it :D :D Good luck, take the plunge and arrange a meet yourself :D

I think I probably live very near you. I'd love to go to a doodle meet too. I'd like to go to the Coatham woods one please.
