Jessie has arrived!!

Post by Sarah Bevan » 21 Sep 2011, 19:16

After what seems like forever we finally have our pup!!
I have been logging on to the forum almost daily since about April - thank you all, I have gained so much knowledge over this time which has given us the confidence to wait for a good breeder and to give our pup the best start we can.
This is Jessie, she is an F1B from Jacqui Carter-Davies in Wiltshire.
She didn`t cry on the 1 1/2 hour journey home, just looked out the window or slept. First night(Monday) I slept in the lounge with her on the floor - she wouldn`t go in crate, last night I slept on floor again and after introducing her properly to the crate during the day, She barked for about 10 minutes then settled for a sleep until 2 hours later and she barked to let me know she needed a wee.
She woke up 2 hourly for toilet, one of the times it was pouring with rain and she just wanted to play on the grass and get wet! - I am tired
She did complain each time i put her back in crate but did settle, today she has been having sleeps in the crate(door open though) so I hope she settles tonight.
No Accidents in the house today!
She loves us all and we love her, she has even dragged the kids away from the TV :D
I am sure i will be posting on forum as each new challenge arrives so watch this space.

She's scrummy-wummy!

Watch that loose collar though, she can strangle quite quickly if it catches in anything.

Don't fear Rowan, it may not be so bad, we only had to get up once a night!

What a little sweetheart!

Erm... is now a bad time to mention that Freddie and Jasper slept through from night one without a murmur? And Darcey only got us up very occasionally even at six weeks old! I think having them in the bedroom helped (in crates) although I know that's not for everyone.
