New Doodle-lover!

Post by ronahc » 15 Jul 2015, 19:44

Hi everyone!

I guess my topic subject isn't quite correct - long time doodle fan here, but my partner and I have spent the past 8 months or so finally making preparations for a long-awaited furry pal to come and live with us by the Aberdeenshire seaside.

We have signed up with the Labradoodle Trust to be considered for adoption, and I'll be dropping in here from time to time for hints and tips and to hopefully get to know all of you lot and your furry family members.

Welcome!

Have you noticed the trust change in approach? Instead of signing up and going on a waiting list, you now need to apply when a doodle you are interested in comes up for adoption - I'm not sure when that comes into effect, but it was announced this week.

Good luck with you application!

Hiya Bid,

It hadn't been updated on the website when I went through it, so thank you for the heads up! I've liked them on FB so should get some updates!

We will definitely join you at the beach at some point! I was looking back at the pictures you posted and it looks amazing! :-) we are in Collieston, so when we get a dog they'll be getting plenty of beach time here too!

Hi, and welcome to the forum... Hope you don't have to wait too long for your special dood - I'm sure the right one will come along for you soon. In the meantime, why not attend one or two of the Meets near you? You can get a good idea of what you're in for, and can meet some of the other doodle families beforehand... :D

@Bren - your pups have amazing names, my boyfriend approves greatly...

Anne - that's my plan :-) I noticed Annie has a meet planned in Aberdeen for August, we are planning on heading along.
