Introducing Rosie!

Post by Bellrooster » 05 Apr 2016, 13:53

Hi all!

I'm 'mum' to a 2 (3 in a couple of weeks) miniature black F1 labradoodle called Rosie. (DOB 22/04/2013, we got her from a litter of 10 puppies in the Westow area of north Yorkshire not far from the A64 in case anyone has one of Rosie's siblings?!)

We are a family of 3, me, my husband and now 10 year old daughter. One of our favourite things to do as a family is take Rosie to fun dog shows! My daughter shows her and between her and Rosie we have a large collection of Rosettes (Rosiettes  ) and even one best in show trophy.

On February 10th this year Rosie gave birth to her first (and only) litter of four beautiful puppies who all are going to their new homes by the end of this week  well all apart from 1 little boy who we are keeping. We haven't yet chosen a name so suggestions always welcome :D

I have told the puppy's new owners all about this forum, as I have read it regularly and found it incredibly interesting and just realised I need to join too! So here I am!

I'm going to work out how to post a picture of Rosie as soon as I can!

Hi. I am a fairly new user but have found the advice invaluable and learnt so much through reading the old posts. I don’t even have a dog yet.... end of May!

Hi all, thanks again for the welcome!

We have decided to name our new boy Cooper! :D and I thought I'd post a new picture of him.

All of Rosie's other babies are all settled and happy in their new homes! luckily they haven't gone far (one to my Mum, one to my Dad and one to my friend) so we can visit them all and see how they are getting on!

One thing that amazes me is the size difference in the pups! Cooper and Jet the 2 males both weigh over 5Kg now! (which is astonishing as Rosie is 10 Kg fully grown, and the Sire was a miniature poodle) The 2 girls are 2kg and 3kg and they all turned 10 weeks old this week and Rosie had her 3rd Birthday! :o

Evie (my daughter) is thrilled that it is only 4 days until Cooper can go on his first (on his own 4 paws) walkie! She has been practising walking him around the garden with his harness and lead and I think he is keen to go out the gate as he watches longingly when we take Rosie out for her walks!

What a stunning boy! Boys tend to weigh more than girls. Reading your post made me check Dudes puppy weight and I see his was 7.9kg at 10weeks. Birth weight was 4.20kg. He's 26kg now! He is noticeably bigger than his Mum and sister but I haven't seen his other siblings(there were 11pups)Good luck on your first trips out...you won't get far, everyone will want to say Hello! Anny
