Our first Labradoodle

Post by tonylees » 05 Jul 2008, 20:56

Hi everyone, We have just collected our first Labradoodle from Carol Shaw at Stonecellars in Durham.
We had a two and a half hour drive back to Halifax and I must admit we were a little worried that the poor guy might not like travelling.... How wrong was I.. He loved it... he was in the back having his belly tickled all the way home... he even fell asleep for five minutes

Now we just have to figure out a name for the little guy!

Wow Tony, you don't hang about  Just realised it was you asking for puppy questions after the problems with your last rescue dog.

Glad to see you have gone for a Doodle and what a cracker.

Hi All, Thanks for the suggestions.. keep them coming

The house felt soooooo empty without a dog around we knew we needed one.... and after reading so much about the doodles fantastic temprement we knew that this is the breed of dog that would suit us the most and when we went to visit Carol (just to look at a fully grown Doodle) we just fell for him hook line and sinker!!

He is a really clever guy as well..... before we went in I said to my wife that we would not be going home with a pup!!! but the little guy came straight over to me and cuddled up and gave me a big kiss........what could I do after that!!!!

I will post more pics soon

Thanks for your help and support

Tony

Congrads, he is beautiful.
i am thinking Ozzie, George ( after curious george the monkey), Bertie or chewy. althought some dogs to tend to live up to the name of Chewy.
Noodles is a good name.
Good luck deciding, it took me just over a week :)

Haha

Hubbie wanted to call Jack 'Crispy' (after suggestions from work of 'Crispy Noodle, the labradoodle')
but I put my foot down and went with the niece suggestion of Black Jack (because he was so sweet).

Now he's more like Jumping Jack Flash so be careful what you choose. It can come to haunt you.

Actually what I would love now is a Jill to make the perfect pair
but need to work on Hubbie quite a bit more yet

Hi all...

Well it was our doodles first night..... we didn't hear a sound from him all night... i know I was awake for most of it listening out for him lol We came downstairs at 7 o clock and he was just sat in his bed waiting for us.... and NO presents or puddles on the floor!!!! after cuddles and kisses we let him in to the garden and he did a tinkle!

And I think we have decided on a name..... We would Like to Introduce ARCHIE the Doodle!

Once he is Jabbed up he can be found walking the moors above Ogden! lol

We hope to meet up and go for walks and we will be attending Doode meets when we can!

morning Tony & family, good to meet Archie, Nel's brother, he is HUGE. Nel is so dainty (8kg) but that might be compared to our other Doodle Lola (29kg) . Glad you decided to give him a home, we love his name as it is our Nephews & his Grandads. It would be good to meet up sometime, there is a meet in Yorkshire on the 7th Sept at Lin Johnsons so keep a look out for posts. So glad you had a good 1st night with him, hope the rest are as easy  . Has he done a `Doodle Dash` yet?. Nel hasn't unbelievably  Think she might not be a real Doodle, either that or she's just exhausted from playing with Lola
P.S I did answer your pm but not until saturday morning & you may have alreadyy been on your way by then.
