Re: F3 Miniature Australian multi-gen Chocolate avail for stud
Sorry Judy but your dog is not a 50/50 if you put an F1 his (Dad) to an (F3) his mum regardless of what country she came from you are putting labradoodle origin to labradoodle orgin so your dog is not an Australian or even a 50/50 he is an F2 Labradoodle Origin, the same as any UK F2
Australian Labradoodles are not just a LabXPoodle!!!

that the Australian Labradoodle was not just a Labrador x Poodle cross but was a breed in its own right developed over many years with particular goals in mind. "

Sorry, it was announced by who? As I see it Australian labradoodles aren't a recognised breed and most of the breeders seem to make up the rules as they go along and change them to suit themselves.
I'm not disputing the fact that Australian labradoodles have other dogs infused into the breed but I think it smacks of feeling a bit threatened when a breeder has to spend most of her time running down people with good intentions who wish to improve the breed in the UK.
At least the pups produced by this stud dog will have the genes they need to grow into healthy dogs - I'm presuming they won't be spayed or neutered at just a few weeks of age?

Thanks FloDoodle for your lovely comment, I am just a small breeder who is breeding dogs in the family home and their care and welfare is uppermost. I did not say that my stud dog was an ASD, and as you rightly say each breeder has their own way of describing labradoodles and at least I am being honest.
I am glad that we have Teddy, it is such a stuggle to find a good miniature to use as a stud without entering into a neuter / spay contract and at least it gives people the choice.
Happy doodling x

It was Announced by the International Australian Labradoodle Ass, A Australian Labradoodle is more than a two breed dog!!FloDoodle wrote:Sorry, it was announced by who? ...........................................................................smacks of feeling a bit threatened when a breeder has to spend most of her time running down
I am certainly not threatened by a new breeder I only breed a small amount of litters per year and they are mostly reserved before they are even born, all getting loving caring homes.
What I think is wrong is when someone buys a cheap two breed Labradoodle Origin from an Australian Puppy farm (Valleyview) changes its name and charges a lot of money for what are not Australian Labradoodles
These dogs are not the same as Australian Labradoodles and it is misleading the public by implying that they are!! they are no different to UK Labradoodles if they are a Lab Poodle cross, so why waste your money on one of these buy a good quality UK one from health tested parents or get one from rescue
I am posting as me and not using a Alias!!!

aus·tral·ian/ôˈstrālyən/
Noun: A native or national of Australia, or a person of Australian descent.
Adjective: Of or relating to Australia.
A labradoodle from Australia is an Australian labradoodle, but not an "Australian Labradoodle" tm
So he's a health tested, F2 Labradoodle Origin from Australian lines - does that get past the ALAA guidelines?

Interesting question - is there a restriction on the use of the phrase "Australian Labradoodle" at all? Is it trademarked or something?

As it says in the article, there are alot of dogs from valley view that ended up with Beverly ASD, so that obviously means as has been pointed out on numerous occasions, even a pure Australian from the sacred lines are not all they are supposed to be !!
Re: F3 Miniature Australian multi-gen Chocolate avail for stud
It is widely recognised by Australian Labradoodle breeders all around the world, of ALL THE DIFFERENT AUSTRALIAN LABRADOODLE BREED CLUBS!!!! that an Australian Labradoodle is NOT a two breed dog.
What is the difference between an Australian bred Labrador and Poodle and an English?????
If I was living in China would I have a very rare Chinese Labradoodles?
So are you saying German Shepperd's over here are now English Shepperd's??? or Australian Cattle Dogs are English Cattle Dogs??? each of these breeds were developed with a purpose and a type these were then bred to each other to develop a breed, the Australian Labradoodle is no different except that it is still in its early stages.
A two breed Labradoodle is not considered a Australian Labradoodle by anyone or any breed club, regardless of it country of origin
The Valley View Origins are in the pedigree's of some of Rutland Manor dogs, but this is not about who bred what, if RM bred a Labrador Poodle cross that would still be a Labradoodle Origin just like Tatty it is only when the other breeds are introduced that it becomes an Australian 'Labradoodle regardless of who bred it!!!

Re: F3 Miniature Australian multi-gen Chocolate avail for stud
I was sent a pedigree not so long ago, for a dog that was supposed to be an Australian labradoodle, but was it ?
Re: F3 Miniature Australian multi-gen Chocolate avail for stud
Really ? They aren't a breed as such so that must have been a fake... we have an Aussie, what we were given is a copy of our dog's ancestors back 4 (poss 5) or so generations so we can see what went into her. Some Tegan Park, some Rutland, one poodle, mainly Australian labradoodles.
She is however healthy and her parents health tested, she was bred in a lovely home.
My understanding is that only a dog bred with other Aussie multi-generational dogs, and only in the case of a particular trait being needed, for health reasons or stability, with one of a select few other breeds.
A 50%/50% is an Aussie doodle with an English doodle, over here at least. And not an Aussie doodle.
Any other mix is not an Australian doodle. They are a breed on the way to being recognised, so restricted in its lines... but not a pedigree, so can have no papers.
