How much does your Doodle weigh?

Post by MrsD » 16 Feb 2009, 17:03

Hi,

Diesel's just left the vets & is doing fine now, feeling a bit sorry for himself tho! :(

The vet said he was carrying a little extra weight & i was just wondering what the average weight was?
Diesel doesn't look over weight and you can feel his ribs when you stroke him? :?:

He's just over 6 months and is 28.6 kilos :?

Hi,

Dudley is just over 6 months and is about 21kgs- but he is quite a slim build (i just put some pics of him on the thread about pics of cream doodles if you want to have a look to compare him to Diesel), so he sounds fine to me.

Willow is 9 months and 21kg and about 21" tall. My vet said she was a tad over weight but I don't think she is. I can feel her ribs easily - she is just more of a lab build than a poodle.

Hi, Parker had his 6 month check at the end of January and was about 22kg. I regard him as a slimmer build doodle and you can just about feel his ribs. The vet said he was a perfect weight for his age etc and that it was unusual for his 'breed' not to be overweight! I do have to say that he would probably eat all day in his ideal world though.

Jeff is just over 30kgs. I think he is fine because he is a big boy. I have been careful lately with extra treats because another dog walker thought he was a tad overweight. I know the feeling!

How tall is Diesel?

Daisy is 23 inches and her ideal weight is 26kg. She currently weighs 27.8kg having put on a bit when she couldn't exercise.

Poppy is very poodley in build - she is 21 inches tall and weighs 17kg!

Hi,

Murphy has just returned from the Vet this evening having had staples removed from his leg. He fell into a storm drain a week ago. Anyway he was weighed today and was 32Kg - We think it was his rather large behind that saved him from further injury  He is 14 months old now.
