Hip Survey

Post by Bid » 07 May 2010, 21:48

Please would people be kind enough to fill in this survey? It is a bit lengthy but I think that the questions are necessary to get a fuller picture.

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the questions - I hope we've got the best mix now :D

F2b - an F2 backcross where one parent was an F2 labradoodle and the other a labrador, poodle or retriever

Bid I think this mating reverts back to an F1, as one of the pair mated is not a labradoodle ie:
Kona's Father was an F2 Labradoodle but her mother was a standard poodle, which makes her an F1b

Good survey :P Well done Bid :P

I've done it for my two. Brings home how little we know about Becky's background, other than she was a puppy farm babe we re-homed at 10 months.

If anyone else is in the same boat then do make sure you have darn good insurance in place to cover all bases. It's all we can do for them really. :?

I'm not quite sure if I have measured them properly height wise. :? I put my hand across at the point the neck meets the shoulders, rather than flat on their backs, and used a wooden measuring stick. I think that's where the whithers is?

I was surprised at the results as Jack came up as 22 inches and I would have thought of him as a smaller Doodle, more of a medium than a standard. Becky was 25 inches so I reckon whatever I'm doing is consistent as she looks about 3 inches taller than him at that point.

We've got 50 replies already! Thanks everyone.

One thing I should have put in my initial post is that please rest assured that no information will be passed on to anyone, and it will all be treated as totally confidential. I know that is important to everyone, but especially to breeders.
