dry pads

Post by cps » 06 Apr 2007, 15:31

I've just noticed that Sam's pads are dry and rough. Don't know how long this has been the case. His walks are a mixture of pavement and grass. All our flooring is hard, but he goes out in the garden as well. Any ideas as to whether this is ok, and if not, what should I do?

My doodles pads are really dry too - is it a breed thing? We walk a lot on the beach - I did wonder if it was the sand????

Rosie's pads are really dry too! So, I bought some pad wax from pets at home which I put on them a couple of times a week.

Seems to help

I have used that too Susie, Gunner did go through a period of his pads being quite dry and i worried they would crack..ouch
I think though they have to be fairly hard and dry as protection against grit etc...
