Prayers for Bingo please :(

Post by Ditta » 10 Jun 2012, 19:26

Hi all,
My beautiful boy has been at the vet's since yesterday evening. He ate some of the filling of his bed and got a bowel obstruction. We first noticed he was unwell Saturday morning, we took him to the vet and she thought it was only a partial obstruction and hoped he would be able to pass it with some liquid paraffin. However that didn't seem to help and he got more subdued during the day, so we took him in for an x-ray and overnight stay. The vet has said she has managed to get him to pass some of the fluff, but he is still quite lethargic, and although she is hopeful he may be able to pass it on his own, if he doesn't improve by tomorrow they will probably go in and operate. He has had a number of x-rays, and is on drip for hydration, plus painkillers and antibiotics. I'm really worried about him and about the operation. :( So if you're the praying type, any prayers are very much appreciated, and if not, positive thoughts/vibes also help! :( I know the people on here understand how much we worry and care about our doggies...

Thanks,
Anna

Oh, Bingo! I will send him loving, healing thoughts.

Lola spits stuffing out if she gets a small hole anywhere, thank goodness.

It happens so easily. Hope he passes it all very soon and doesn't need the op.

Poor boy, well done for picking up on it quickly. He's in the right place, and with luck he won't need the operation, but if he does I'm keeping everything crossed for him. Vets have to do the sort of op frequently and I've never heard of an unsuccessful one.

Lots of love, kisses, licks and prayers from all of us x x.

I'm sure the vets will have some good news for you soon as you spotted the problem so quickly.

Ember is like a little vacuum and we are convinced we should of called her Dyson!!! Any fluff and she finds it so you can guess that the word I use most everyday is LEAVE.

Take care and try not to worry and we have everything crossed for a speedy recovery. X x
