Poorly Rosy - upset tummy?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue...
Rosy has had diarrhea since Monday (16.06) and we haven't changed her diet. We think she is ok, then overnight she will "go" in her crate (during the day, she asks to go outside to do it).
We have taken away any treats, and only feeding her dry food (Wainwrights Salmon & Potato - her fave) and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Is it the heat? Her age? Maybe she has eaten something she shouldn't have on a walk? Has anyone else had this issue, or knows what I should do?
I stayed home from work today because I was quite worried. She hasn't been low of energy, she seems to be her happy and lively self. It hasn't happened before, only this week. Am I worrying too much? Should I leave her to it?

Thanks in advanced.

If she was an adult I would say give her a couple of days of gentle invalid food such as white fish & mashed potato, but as she is just a pup I think if she isn't better by tomorrow I would pop her to the vet - she may have picked up a little bug and need something to get rid of it. Is she drinking OK?

Over feeding can give them sloppy poo, or as you say - she could easily have eaten something she found.

She is a baby at the mo and should get checked by vet as dehydration can be a problem
Usually a little medication to settle their tummy and some bland food is just what's needed
If pups still quite lively it's not too much to worry about
Get ready with some fish and mashed potatoes (no milk or butter) just a little of the water potatoes boiled into moisten the mash. Scrambled eggs etc for a few days
Let us know how you get on

Hi

I had the same problem with my Bentley, took him to the vets they put him on antibiotics, took poo samples all came back ok, he got better then it came back again vet said might have to change his food, he was on wainwrights, when I went to the pet shop they said the food is very rich, so done the gradual change to James wellbeloved, & touch wood his fine now & back to solid poo, the vets did say he would have to go to there prescription food but wanted to try the others first, which worked. But make sure rosys drinking plenty.
Hope she gets better soon, we do worry about our baby's.

Hi All,

Thanks for your help.
I took R to the vet and she was checked over. The vet told us it could be just a bug and gave her antibiotics - which has now cleared it all up.

Gladfully it wasn't anything nasty.
