poor boy

I had to rush dexter to vets last night he had gone off food and he was very unsettled he was also sick brown like gravy.He had been to beach the weekend ,and also the lady next door had given him some beef on morning he did sick up a piece.The vet gave him pain killer and some lactlose. He as been quite all day and not eat all day ,but as just had small amount of chicken.I hate to see him like this and vet said bring him back in if no better.Just hope he gets well.

Hi thanks for caring about dexter ,he is a lot better to day .had hes meals mainly chicken,the only thnig i am worried about he seems to be drinking more water then normal. I will go back to vets if i get worried .I was very scared that night thought i was going to loose him never saw him like that before never been ill only kennel cough in 6 years.He seems fine know thanks.

Sorry to hear Dexter not been well.

Do you think he drank too much salt water and it made him poorly, when we take Harley to the beach and he has been swimming in the sea, he drinks loads of water for days after.

He didnt get to go in sea to far out but it could be the sand ,but even today he as drunk a lot of water seems to be after meals.He never used to drink much water so i will keep a watch on him .Just worried if it could be hes kidneys cause my cat had kidney failure and she drunk lots of water .Maybe just worrying to much ,he seems fine.

My mums dog started drinking loads of water he got diagnosed with diabetes, maybe worth checking xxxx

Pleased to read that Dexter is a little better. :)
Like Sarah says it might be worth speaking to the vet again re Dexter drinking lots....just to rule out diabetes.
