My Labradoodle has developed a cough and is vomiting up a lot of watery foody mix ?
He has been inoculated for Kennel Cough and I think I should get an appointment with Vet as soon as but i'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be ?
I don't give bones and his food is minced morsels so i'm at a loss ?

It sounds like kennel cough, there are lots of strains, or he could have got it from the vaccine. Get vet to come out to your dog in the car as it’s really contagious and can be quite nasty for dogs with other illnesses already. It could also possibly be lungworm does it sound raspy? Both are treatable. For kennel cough there are some (not all) human cough medicines you can use. Hope he is better soon. There is a lot of kennel cough around right now.

Thank you for your reply, to add on he had a seizure last night which he gets periodically but I'l get him to Vet this week for a check up. The cough is like a human cough but since the seizure it's stopped, maybe just coincidence?

Hoping I can get him sorted poor lad.

Hi. Sorry to hear he is poorly. Stout had kennel cough in September - despite being vaccinated. After a few days of treatment he was as right as rain. Hope your furry one is better soon

Update on Doogle, we have seen the Vet and yes he thinks he has got one of the many strains of KC prevalent at the mo and has redosed ' Doogie' for Lung worm just in case as well.

Needless to say I have the biggest tablets to get down him , caught him unawares his first dose with another 4 days to go , cant hide in food cos he knows if I've doctored it , real smart these guys !

Sue.

Aww sorry your doggie, poorly.

Best thing I have used to give Harley medication is sausage, cut it up in pieces, and slot the tablet in and go on a walk, and give it to him then, as he forgets its got medication in it.

I have to do this with his worming tablets now.
