I do understand your concerns,there are some insurance company's that once the allocated money has run out they will not pay for any more treatment on a particular complaint. It is a complicated matter.

I rang round loads of insurance company's before deciding on John Lewis.

I liked the fact that you start every year with the money you are insured for. Not all insurance company's do that.Maybe this is where the confusion lies with ongoing cover. :)

At the end of the day it is a choice for the individual to decide.But it does help if peoples experiences are passed on.

I'm with Direct Line. They don't appear on comparison websites so you have to go onto their website directly.

I was with Petplan, but they raised their prices to a stupid amount.

For 2 dogs I pay c.£32 for the £6,000 per condition with no time limit.

No one else ever seems to flag them up or use them. I have never had to claim, although I did 3 times with Petplan and they paid up within a month with no quibble.
