Essex and surrounding Counties Mass Doodle Dash and Picnic

Post by Flossiebag » 03 Jun 2009, 21:48

Owing to the thread on DT currently being lost and the fact that we are already speeding through June - I thought I'd put a reminder of this on here with a poll to decide the exact date and allow us to hash out a time. We had decided on Hylands Park and I suggested the weekend before the schools break up (11th or 12th July) which seemed to be acceptable.

So who's coming then? :D :D :D

Oh darn it!
I'm away on holiday that weekend - such a shame, Hylands Park is so convenient for me too :( :(
Oh well, next time for sure! :)

Would be really happy to do an informal walk if anyone fancies it either the Saturday before (4th July) or the Sunday after (18th July) or actually any other weekend thereafter. If anyone is up for it - please do let me know (am always looking for people/dogs to walk with!). :)

:D :D And to everyone going on the 11th / 12th - have a great doodle dash!! :D :D

Can't wait! Will be great fun! I wonder if we will actually get to eat any food, or will the doodles get it all?

I'll go up to Hylands this weekend and see if they have put the picnic tables back in the far field. If not we will need to use the picnic tables neat the childrens play area. Its a bit more busier there but food at floor level with doodles around is not a good idea!!

Really? I'm surprised       :D

Fingers crossed that the picnic tables are back in the field and away from the play area - I can see several Doods sliding down the slide :D

Eric's favourite trick is to pee up the little trikes/bikes parked outside the play area!!

Mid you he does that to football bags/jumpers/coats etc dumped on the ground at football matches. His normally proud mummy walks off and pretends he's someone elses at that point!!

I'll mark the calendar and be there. We have been meeting new doods around Colchester but it will be nice to meet with everyone after such a long absence. Will we walk the doods first to wear them out - Ha Ha!!!!!! or will be straight into the food?
My boy Spadger is a first cross 4 year old and to my mind the best dog!
