@johnford - I've lifted the following directions from previous meets which hopefully will help. Let me know if you need more. Hope you can make it! Elaine.

- from Nottingham go towards Ilkeston on A609, when you get to Ilkeston follow A609 towards Derby/Smalley/West Hallam (do not follow signs for Shipley Park, as they take you to Heanor & old American Adventure entances, you want to get to Mapperley Reservoir). On A609, you go past bowling alley on left, fire station on right, continue until you get to West Hallam. There's a crossroads where you have priority. This is where you need to turn right into Mapperley Lane (If you get to The Bottle Kiln, on the left, YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR, the turning is immediately before it!! Go straight down towards Mapperley Village/Mapperley Reservoir (seems quite a long way), when you get to a sharp left hand bend, there is a spur straight on, on the bend's curve, take it. ( I think it's signposted Mapperley Reservoir. If you reach the pub, Black Horse, you have gone too far!! ) You will pass the reservoir on left and then reach car park.

- this is the link for Shipley if you look at the bottom of the page there is a small map which breifly shows you how to get to mapperly carpark, I have tried to find you a postcode but it just seems to send me the main car park at Heanor sorry. Hth's.
http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/images/How ... 139011.pdf

- also a postcode of DE7 6BT which is for the nearby school, go beyond that down a single lane track past the resevoir to the car park

We won't be there :( as I'm working at 2.30 that day, if it had been earlier in the day might have been able to make it. Hope you all have a great walk :D x

Agreed Treena, we really must remember to bring our cameras next time! As always, great to see everyone and their doods but apologies for Alfie's behaiviour, he really was bottom of the class today so no treats for him for some time to come!

Good luck with your investigations and look forward to seeing everyone again in the not too distant future.

It's all very well remembering to take your camera, which I did, but it's remembering to take photos with it that is really important
