April 19th - Studland Beach 12.00

Post by Bid » 12 Apr 2014, 09:09

It's almost at that time when we can't let out dogs run on Studland beach, so how about one more outing? I know it's easter weekend, but Saturday is changeover day for holiday lets so it may not be too busy!

Do you have a post code for the sat nav Bid? Or is it just the last car park before the ferry? Just packing the car now so we can get on our way. 2 hours driving coming up!!

Yes its the car park by the ferry. Ive heard there are traffic lights in Studland village. The roads were very busy yesterday. It took my daughter 2 1/2 hrs yesterday to get down, it usually takes just over the hour!
We're on our way hoping to be ahead of the traffic!

It was a bit chilly, and people got delayed in the traffic, but it was worth the effort!

The puppy was called Star, and he is just 14 weeks old, so he joined us for the latter part of the walk - adorable! It was great to meet Suebedo and her two - and Mr Suebedo who entertained the entire pack of doodles with one tennis ball - hilarious to watch.

Ha! Peter is the Pied Piper of Doodledom! Our dogs all absolutely love him, up here in our walking group. They also love him for spoiling them as he is very kind and orders them sausages or bacon when we have our post walk pub lunches!!

Aren't Fozzie and Florence ace? Charlie is a thug with Florence and sweeps her off her feet. Repeatedly!!

He also walks on water - Sue was delayed waiting for the ferry so I asked him how he got there - he said he walked!

Please don't encourage him!! I have to live with someone who greet every dog we meet by getting down on his hands and knees to say hello. Walking round our neighbourhood takes a little while - it's full of dogs who all know Uncle Peter and it's taking him longer and longer to stand up as he gets older!!

We don't normally take a tennis ball on doodle walks as it always causes problems when you have ball mad dogs, but have found it works out OK when they are in water - you learn all the time!

At least Beamish got to learn to swim after being "peter'd".

We won't think about trying the "oh so time saving and mile saving" ferry route again though.
