Time for another East Midlands meet?

Post by DawnandBailey » 23 Apr 2014, 22:10

Rob and I were discussing tonight how it feels like a while since the last East Midlands meet... We've sine rehomed another doodle (Biscuit) to keep Bailey company, so it'll be really exciting for him! At the same time, a few people from Derbyshire were wondering about a meet over on Doodlemania tonight, so I wondered if it would be good to meet again soon!

How does May 11th at 10:30, once again at Elvaston Castle, work for people? Bailey would love to see everyone again, and I think Biscuit is excited too!

Ianto would love to meet Bailey and Biscuit! He was a bit shy at the last meet as he'd never been to Elvaston Castle before... (and he learned some bad words from his Mummy went she took a wrong turn on the way home... )

Why not post another date for another meet to suit you?

Hurrah! Can't wait!

By the way, would there be appetite for setting up an East Mids meet Facebook group? I often forget to look on here!

I'll happily set one up if people fancy it x

I follow the S&W Yorks Doodle Meet Group on Facebook, so would be able to keep tabs on the EM one too. When one of theirs is planned I usually notify on this forum in case there are any newbies or 'technophobes'* who'd like to join in... (*Given that I used to be one, until the DD sorted me out with a FB account... )

unusually for an elvaston meet weather looks like it will be awful. we are planning on going if it is sunshine and showers but if it is really issing down we will stay nearer to home.

although our doodle would be happy whatever the weather

I must admit that we have been so fortunate with the weather in the past and it looks like this weekend will be wet and windy!
However Polo will still need a good walk (somewhere!) regardless of what comes from the sky, so I am still planning on going, unless one of you tells me it's cancelled.

Surely, we are not Fine Weather Dog Walking Wussies in the East Midlands

(and most of them get very wet in the lake anyway!)

And we can always enjoy a hot chocolate at the cafe if it's too bad :D
