Sorry for the late posting of this notice. I think the website has been down for a few days as I couldn't get in.

Time to burn off the excesses of Christmas with a walk over Reigate Hill on Sunday 4 January 2015 at 10:30 am.

The start is at Wray Lane Car Park near the top of Reigate Hill (very close to J8 of the M25, shown by orange arrow on map below).

Nearest postcode is RH2 0HX. Sat Nav users please note that, if approaching from the M25, this postcode is beyond the No Entry signs just past the entrance to the car park - at that point, please ignore the directions of the Sat Nav and do not go through the No Entry - you will have just arrived at the car park.

From Wray Lane, there is a fairly long, gentle uphill walk along a track to Colley Hill, at the top of the North Downs with stunning views.

Please note there are usually cyclists, children and occasionally horses on the track and there is a small herd of cattle in the meadow. The cattle ignore people and dogs but, if your doodle is prone to chasing any of the above, please be prepared to pop the lead on as we pass by.

Newcomers welcome, both doods and non-doods.

Please reply to this post if you will be joining us so we know whom to expect and shall know to wait for you if you are a little late!

Meantime, happy New Year to all the doodles and their hoomans.

Phoebe has taken to barking at horses and cattle - not something she ever did before one particular walk with my sister who panicked when we had to cross a style surrounded by cows and started shouting "put her on the lead, put her on the lead". I'm pretty sure Phoebe picked up on her anxiety and that she's managed to create a problem so now I wouldn't trust Phoebe on a walk with big four legged creatures in the vicinity (she even barks at camels on the TV!)

Plus, I'm sure you remember her propensity to roll in fresh, wet cow pats.

So, we'll pass on this one.

Hey guys. Sorry I shall not be joining you tomorrow. I have been struck down by the dreaded lurgy. So (a) I wouldn't have the energy and (b) I certainly wouldn't like to share this with you!

Have a good walk and hope to join you all on the next one.

Have a fab time, we probably wont make it, some technical thing at the brewery is playing up, so Chris is having to keep a very close eye on 1600 litres of (hopefully) fermenting beer :( :(
