Woodland walks are a bit of a no-no for Logan so sadly we'll give this one a miss. I shall relent at bluebell time though, even if I have to drag Logan round on a lead the whole way!

Hi sorry myself and Maisy won't be able to make this one. I'm at my best friend's hen do tomorrow evening and won't get home until the early hours therefore I don't think it would be safe to drive when i'm hungover and half asleep haha. Sorry hopefully be at the next one! We have thought just come back from a lovely few days in Suffolk, Maisy had so much fun and shared a lot of ice creams :D we also went to the all about dogs show in Ipswich which Maisy thoroughly enjoyed! Great fun. See you soon xxx

Hi - first post here - and an interloper too since our bundle of fluff (Toby) is actually cockapoo. Anyway - we joined this walk since we know Wendy, who has been kind enough to give us some advice as first time dog owners.

I took some pics and here they are:

(This is a link to a Google Photos album)

It took me a while to figure a way of posting pics here since tagging on flickr (as suggested) didn't seem best.

So I'm experimenting and unsure how this post will appear.

This is an individual image link wrapped in a bbcode image tag:

and this is the same image link wrapped in a link tag:

just trying to see what works!

Thanks to Wendy for letting us tag along and great to meet the labradoodles - all of which were sweet natured - and some of their owners were OK too!

Hmmm - photo album link worked OK and link to individual image was OK, but couldn't get image to show so trying a couple of things:

Individual image link within a bbcode img tag with https: protocol
Image

same but using http: instead of https:
Image

maybe it's a size issue so link to a much smaller image (https:)
Image

and http:
Image

just trying...

OK - I think it's failing because the link that Google Photos generates for the image is not actually a link to the image file per se, but a link into Google Photos gatekeeper program that checks to see if you have access, and that's not going to work within a bbcode img link, so - let's try dropbox:

here's a link to a dropbox image, wrapped in a bbcode img tag. This is the unedited link provided by dropbox
https://www.dropbox.com/s/eg3bd5v3m4a9s ... 0.jpg?dl=0

wrapped in img tag
Image

same but with https: changed to http: and trailing ?dl=0 removed
Image

let's see...

OK - so dropbox works if you put the image in your 'public' folder and select 'share public link', then use that link wrapped in a bbcode img tag.

Having images appear like this by linking to the image on a host elsewhere is what's known as hotlinking, so you can use any image host that permits hotlinking (many don't).

Now that I can actually get the image to display, I should be able to make it into a link to the larger image in Google Photos:
Image

or use the same image to link to the photo album on Google Photos:
Image

...if I'm lucky!
