East Mids Doodle Meet - Elvaston Castle Sun 21 Feb 2015

Post by Ianto! » 20 Feb 2016, 23:35

Hello,

I'm sorry I've left this until the last minute but there is a Doodle Meet tomorrow morning at Elvaston Castle. Meet on the main showground next to the big car park at 10.15 for 10.30 am start. (Don't panic if you can't see anyone, everyone tends to arrive at the last minute!) :D
There are toilets at the entrance to the car park (and more at the cafe). There is a small charge for parking - the machines can be temperamental but there are several and one takes cards.
Due to the popularity of the cafe, some of us now prefer to take a flask (and maybe a biccie or two!) but due to the weather being as it is, the queue hasn't been so bad recently..
Please be aware that the postcode for Elvaston Castle takes you to the wrong side of the park - you need to be on the B5010 for the correct entrance.

Glad we finally managed to make one and by the time our friends had visited with their 10 week old labradoodle in the afternoon as well we had one very tired Roker who barely surfaced all evening!

It was good to meet you and Roker at last. Elvaston was a bit of a water park yesterday - but the doods certainly appreciated it. For a wonder, after their showers, both ours had a relaxing Sunday (and so did we!)

I suspect Roker spent as much time submerged as he did on dry land!! You also got to see his drying off technique which is the reason i end up with most of Scarborough beach in my car each time we go!!
