Virginia Water Surrey - 6th April - 1pm

Post by claire fifi » 12 Mar 2008, 15:22

Virginia Water is a lovely venue - easy to find and ample parking facilities (first 90 mins free).

I have already posted this on Doodle Times, but Donna suggested that I post it here too. So far, there will be Me, Sue (Jasperalice) Donna and Katie Rourke - and possibly Netty (Gunner) if I can persuade her. Anyone else fancy joining us ?

BTW, there is a refreshment cabin - serving hot and cold food!

The more the merrier. There may be some peeps coming along to meet Doods as they are considering whether to rescue one in the future. I hope they don't get put off by the Doodle Dash

Just to let you know: Virginia Waters Charges from 1st April 2008

0 - 1 Hours - £1.00
1 - 2 Hours - £ 2.00
2 - 3 Hours - £ 3.00
3 - 4 Hours - £ 4.00
4 hours and over £ 5.00

Effectively its the same as last year but after substantially upgrading the car-park they've dropped the first 90 minutes free.

HOWEVER, an annual pass to any of the gates is only £ 25.00 for the entire year!

Thanks Katie. TBH I don't mind paying that at all - good value in my estimation!

Lets hope that the weather will be better than today

What a beautiful dood Charlie!

We just turn up and meet at the car park. No, I don't think we'll be walking all the way round - you have to keep dogs on lead around the lake which would be very boring for all concerned.

If everyone agrees, shall we meet at the top end of the car park and do the "woods walk" where dog walkers are welcome? We can always swing by the lake (and refreshment hut) on the way back??

We would love to come, if that's ok with everyone. I am a bit worried though because Poppy (6 months) does to tend to jump up at people (working on it) so I apologise now to anyone who ends up wearing Poppy's paw prints! My 14 year old son is so excited about meeting all the doods! :D The car park for meeting is the big one on the A30 is that right? :? Look forward to meeting you all on Sunday, until then take care.
Sue.
