Ramps for car

Post by DiSet » 26 Mar 2013, 17:36

Does anyone use a ramp to get their dog into the car? If so, please could you let me know which ramp it is and what you think of it?

Thanks.

I think Bid uses a ramp for her Daisy. Hopefully she'll be along soon to confirm.

I do! I use this one (but I didn't pay that for it - I can't remember where I got it though!) http://www.innerwolf.co.uk/petwalk-tele ... re=default I have used it several times a day for 4 years and it is still in good condition. First of all I got a shorted one but unless you have a very low car they are useless as the slope is too steep. This one is very light weight.

I have v small car, and getting my medium labradoodle into it is difficult. Getting out is fine as he jumps out but I have to heave him into it.
Car is too small to carry a ramp (it,s a Toyota IQ).
Would it be better to raise one of the back passenger seats and restrain him in some way? He,s a nightmare to put a harness on him....
Advice, please!
