Great Day out for beach lovers

Post by suebedo » 18 May 2013, 22:03

While on holiday we went to Poppit Beach (near Cardigan in West Wales) which allows dogs all year on a large part of the beach. There is also a part of the beach that does not allow dogs, for families that want to avoid the chance of their picnic being stolen by a mad labradoodle puppy   ).

Very gentle shelving sand with a car park giving really easy access to the beach with toilets and a café. The toilets also have an outdoor tap with drinking water and a dog bowl conveniently placed under it :D :D.

Lovely place to go (but don't get ice cream in the café as 4 ice creams apparently cost £11   - good job I didn't know until after I'd finished mine or I'd have choked on it).

I'm placing this here in the hope that we get a thread set up for reviews of holiday places and days out for dogs soon :D :D :D :D , please, :D :D :D :D

Might take a while to get there with the welsh roads being so tiny and up and down. It was just over 20 miles from where we were staying and took 30 minutes at least. Don't have a post code but on the map if you look for Cardigan and then just follow the coast down, it is the next beach on a sticky out bit.

We put Poppit into the sat nav and it found it easily enough.
