Laparoscopic spay reccomendation

Post by lunadoo » 30 Nov 2018, 15:09

Luna had her lap spay last week. I am so glad we opted for this method, in spite of it being quite a bit more expensive. She was completely back to normal within 48 hours and in fact it has been very difficult limiting her exercise. We had to be referred to a vet about 17 miles away as our own doesnt yet provide this - though they are planning to in the future. We have another few days before she can have a longish walk and in the meantime we are inventing games to entertain her. She has been a whirlwind of energy in the last couple of days - bordering hyperactive so it will be a relief to tire her out! She also came 2nd in training end of term tests and we also got the most improved dog & handler! To anyone considering a lap spay, I would thoroughly recomment it. Only 3 small puncture wounds on abdomen which healed quickly. They do shave quite a large abdominal area and the only problem we have had is that her coat which grows incredibly quickly and is rather itchy at present! Image

Glad to hear all went well for Luna. Sudocrem is very good to help with the itching or if quite bad a piriton will also ease to urge to itch :)
