Toy poodle as 2nd dog ?
Toy poodle as 2nd dog ?
I am STILL thinking of getting a pal for Charlie. An old man who lives near us has a toy poodle and Charlie adores her.
What do you think of a toy as a second dog for us, any problems ?

Hi Gail, I have been wanting another dog too, and want a toy poodle.
My husband says NO
( No to any 2nd dog, apparantly
)
I'm sure if you get one and do the introduction sensitively, then Charlie will be fine.
Good luck.

Nothing fazes our toy boy Gail, what he lacks in size he makes up for in attitude

We had Toy Poodles when I was a child at the same time as having GSD's and Rough Collies and we never had any problems with the size difference. The Poodles may have been small in size but they were huge in attitude and wonderful dogs.

Ditto Donna!
Mr Socks has a massive personality and he never has any problems interracting with any of the other dogs that visit our yard. He even rough and tumbles with the GSD that lives there, and he doesn't get on with anybody else!
I think Toys are brilliant and will make a great 2nd dog!

Not the nicest of dogs - in terms of temperament - and can be rather quarrelsome with other dogs.joanpoke wrote:What about a Kerry blue, nice and curly and none shedder. A 2 year old in the loot last week looking for good home £200![]()

My brother has a toy poodle and Daisy adores him. They play for hours and although Daisy is faster and heavier, his cornering technique has her floored every time
